1 person dead in northwest Calgary house fire
One person is dead after a house fire Thursday night on Evanston Drive N.W.
Around 9:30 p.m., Calgary firefighters responded to the scene after multiple calls of smoke coming from the basement of a home.
Authorities say a resident came home to find the house on fire
However, after searching the house, firefighters found a body in the basement.
