6 dead, including 4 children, in Ottawa multiple homicide
Six people, including four children and two adults, were killed in an attack Wednesday night at a home in the suburbs of Barrwen, Ottawa, according to a police report.
Calls to 911 about 10:50 p.m. led to the dispatch of Ottawa police officers and paramedics to a home in the 300 block of Bridgen Street, a residential street near Drive Street and adjacent to an elementary school and high school.
After the rescuers entered the house, they found the bodies of six people. Their identity has not yet been determined.
One person was arrested at the scene.
According to police, there is no threat to public safety.
A police statement said: "This is a tragic and complex investigation and investigative teams are based in Briggan Street."
