A missing kangaroo in Oshawa has been found safe and sound by Durham Police
An escaped kangaroo that escaped from its keeper in Oshawa this weekend was found safe and sound on Monday morning. Durham Regional Police said officers from the tracker dog unit spotted the female kangaroo around 3 a.m. near Wilson and Winchester roads. And then around 6:00 a.m. after the kangaroo stopped to rest, they successfully caught him.
"Officers managed to sneak up behind him and grab him by the tail," the police online post said. "The kangaroo surrendered peacefully to police officers and was then returned to the zoo." This animal was supposed to be delivered to Quebec. The driver of the truck carrying the animals stopped at the Oshawa Zoo on Thursday evening for the two kangaroos to walk and rest, when one of them managed to escape.
