After Queensway closure ends, Nicholas Street lane reductions begin
The City of Ottawa is warning drivers that a new construction project downtown may affect overnight traffic.
Starting Tuesday, northbound Nicholas Avenue between westbound 417 Freeway and Laurier Avenue will be reduced to one lane at night at 7 p.m. and will continue until 6 a.m. Saturday.
The city has announced that these traffic changes are being made for the construction of new water mains, and roadway resurfacing related to the Greenfield Avenue, Main Street and Hawthorne Avenue projects.
The work teams will benefit from the noise regulation exemption for 22:00 and the works will continue until 6:00 in the morning.
