How much will Canadians spend on Halloween? 70% say same as last year in poll
Canadians tend to be split in half when it comes to Halloween candy this year, a new poll shows.
Forty-eight percent of 1,521 adults who took part in an online survey by Lodge said they give candy, while 46 percent make it their business and six percent decide.
For those with children at home, those who have sweets increase to 63%.
But a higher percentage of families with children intend to use sweets at night.
Of the 350 children who reached the age of Trick Art, 79 percent said they would do it.
The survey, conducted Oct. 20-22, also shows that 71 percent of Canadians expect to spend the same amount of money on Halloween this year as they did last year.
