The premiers of five provinces have asked to meet with Trudeau on the carbon tax.
The premiers of five provinces have requested a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to discuss their request for exemption from carbon costs, not only for home heating oil but for all types of home heating. The letter of request was signed by the premiers of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. In the letter, the premiers stated that while they are pleased with the exemption of carbon costs for home heating oil in Atlantic Canada, they believe that this policy should be similarly applied in the other provinces.
